Server encountered an error message when in admin dash

Just like the title says. lots of people seem to get this error, so I'm sure your know which one I'm referring to, but i've found only one instance where someone gets it everytime they try to go to the admin dashboard, and it doesnt seem to have been solved so I wondered if anything was ever found about it.

One note. I had a bunch of issues before, I attempted to set it up without updating ubuntu, it worked on one machine. I tried it on 3 other machines, now all 3 of the new ones give this error. I tried updating one of them and it still does it, so I have 1 non-updated machine working 2 non updated not working and 1 updated not working.

Hope that is clear enough since I think it sounds a little convoluted.

We just released 1.5 version, which version did you try to install.
Can you tell us what you get in the apache logs ? If an error happen you might have more details there and that will help you to sort out what s missing.

If you installed in the last 4 hours then you installed 1.5
We keep the same installation process for all the version.

You can also examine the file on your server /usr/share/newfies/__init__.py
It contains the version number.

alright, well I dont think they are 1.4. I'm just going to reinstall. I have one machine up already, any reason particularly that it wont connect to the dashboard at all? I get a 404. The only thing I could think of is that i didnt install Lamp or a dns server on it when i installed ubuntu 10.04, but i seem to remember not having to any other time either.

There is not *reason* for having errors, we try to leave our software bugs free ;)
Now deployment are complex and it's hard to make sure everything work for everybody.

Give a try to 1.5 and always keep in mind checking the logs

alright I've got a machine I have 2 machines still having the error. here is the apache log from one of them: txtup.co/8M9JN
I would have used pastebin, but i'm not super good with using commandline as it is, and for some reason cant figure out how to highlight in nano or paste in lynx :p

BTW.... I like that all the logs are in one place now. I have another machine that gets stuck at process, will probably be looking through the plivo logs for that right?

I understand that you don't have any error on the web interface anymore ?

I do have one machine still throwing the admin dashboard error, another machine that gives an internal server error (this server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to receive your request) and a final machine that will do everything except play the actual text to speech or voice recording. it calls and everything
