g729 codec usage

Postby atekkanat » Tue Nov 15, 2011 3:48 pm

hi,

thanks for your good product.

I followed your beginner guide and there is no problem. Everthing was installed correctly in my server. But when i started campaign, newfies-dailer calls each contact, phones rings for short time and after that suddenly hang up.If contact can answer call in this short time, all voip applications work well.

I think this is codec problem in freeswitch. My voip provider only accepts g729 codec. I made some changes in conf/vars.xml file to send voip call with g729 codec.

<X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="global_codec_prefs=G729"/>
<X-PRE-PROCESS cmd="set" data="outbound_codec_prefs=G729"/>

Do i need to install g729 codec on freeswitch or do you have any suggestion for codec problem?

and could you provide example csv file to import contact ? i tried some example but no succedd.

Thanks,
atekkanat

In regards of G729, I personally didn't use it.
You can have a look at this guide to implement g729 on Freeswitch : http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Howl ... +Licensing

In regards of the contact import, the correct format is has follow :
Code: Select all
contact, last name, first name, email, description, status, additional_vars
221234, Smith, John, johnsmith12991@gmail.com, test subscriber,1, test

STATUS = 1 for ACTIVE or 0 for INACTIVE
